Register for a session, choose your meals, then at your appointment time, just bring a cooler, tote, or laundry basket to carry home your dinners. You are also welcome to bring along a friend (please call for space availability).

Each week, check your inventory sheet, and decide which dinners you'd like to eat. Pull 3 entrees and put them in your refrigerator to thaw until you're ready to cook. You will have a quick, delicious dinner ready when you get home from work, swimming, baseball, dance, etc.

It doesn’t get any easier. This is fun as well as satisfying to know that you have enough dinners for a whole month. Tell your friends and make an evening of it. Who knew making dinner could be fun?

WHAT TO EXPECT

Step By Step:

Get ready for your DATE.

  • CLEAN OUT YOUR FREEZER. That expired meat? Get rid of it and make room for fresh food.
  • WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES. We want you to feel at home in our kitchen. Come as you are.
  • BRING A COOLER, TOTE, OR LAUNDRY BASKET to transport your meals.

You’ve just arrived at the Dinner Date kitchen.

  1. WELCOME! Claim a spot on the shelf for your cooler/tote. Grab an apron from one of the hooks and exchange it for your coat, purse, etc.

  2. Stop by the front desk and we’ll provide you with a check sheet of your chosen meal selections and your cooking labels as well as any necessary instructions. It’s also helpful to tape your check-off list to your freezer door when you get home as an inventory list.

  3. Next, visit the hand-washing station to scrub up. There are gloves for your use if you’d like.

Hand-washing station

  1. Move to the assembly area and pick any one of your chosen recipes as your starting point.

Assembly area

  1. After checking the recipe for the necessary pan*, foil, freezer bag, etc., go to one of the supply stations to retrieve your item(s).

*9x13 pans may be substituted for 2 small pans at no additional charge. To divide meals that package in freezer bags use double the number of required bags.

Supplies

  1. Back at your station, the recipe ingredients are in order as listed. It’s helpful to read through the entire recipe once to familiarize yourself with the steps and then begin to assemble your dish.

  2. The appropriate measuring cup is in the ingredient, and the mixing bowls are on the assembling surface.

If there's an ingredient you don't like, leave it out. If there's something you love, add more. Our meats are portion controlled, but anything else can be added or left out to your liking.

The appropriate measuring cup is in the ingredient

  1. When you’ve completed all the assembly steps, affix your cooking instruction label to the meal and place your dinner in your cooler/tote. Proceed to the next open station on your list.

TIPS:

  • The silver cans and orange cups act as freezer bag holders. By folding the top of your freezer bag down around the can/cup, you’ll ensure that the top stays clean when you zip it closed.
  • If you don't measure at home, don't measure here! Make yourself at home and act as if you are in your own kitchen.
  • Let us know if you have any questions. We are here to help. It takes 2 to 3 stations to get into the rhythm.
  • Help yourself to refreshments and most importantly, have fun! We want you to leave with a load full of dinners and a smile on your face.

We make it. Easy.
